"Tau ah gelap!"

How many times have we use that phrase in our conversation.. over and over again... iya sih, sekarang udah basi alias nggak 'the in thing to say' anymore tapi pas terjadi beneran apa yang terjadi...? Jakarta panik!!!!!!

Dusk was coming in as usual yesterday, but we never suspect anything different would happen coz it's just another ordinary thing to happen everyday, right? dead wrong!
Jakarta was in pitch black until almost midnight yesterday.. something major to do with the cable somewhere.. the talk was very technical, i understood but don't have the desire to repeat it here.. ngapain juga.. nggak ngaruh.

anyway, when i got the call and it turned out even in Cempaka Putih, Kelapa Gading and even Bekasi mati lampu.. wah pasti ada something wrong.. majorly wrong..
so we panickly went to warung and bought candles and batteries.. with an effort i must say, coz they run out. but we got it, turn on the radio and... 70% of Jakarta was in the dark, even Bekasi and Banten, yikes!
Yang kasian katanya sempet ada yang kejebak di lift!! ya ampun.. serem banget nggak sih.. jadi inget film 'Speed' hmm Mas Nunu.. he he he. Jakarta's traffic was in a total jammed, one house was on fire, and for some people including me... oh o.. water supply!!

Nothing to do except took a shower (me and mbal Panti used setengah bak mandi untuk shower and washed our hair!!! penghematan yang langka kali ye.. he he he) and i must've spent about 2-3 hours on the phone.. coz it's the only thing that still on. Hmmm

It was nearly midnight when i saw my brother put off the candles, Thank God!, coz i couldn't sleep because of the heat and the damn mosquitos, turn on the AC and the telly... Oooh, Angel was on ;-) so I watched that and then Buffy although not till the very end and yeah baby! Energy' "You Better Not Come Home" video was on... arghh Kunda was so shuai lah..! Mirip Li Wei banget deh he he.

This morning woke up to the sound of the pembokat said over the phone "Iya mas. Mati Lagi. Kira-kira waktu abis mas pergi."
Aiyah... more electricity failure..?? "very deep sigh" trus realize.. o iya, udah mulai panas...
so i turned on the radio again.. 1 minute.. 2 minutes.. 3 minutes... here we go.. the report..
oh yeah. more mati lampu. for at least another 4 to 5 hours!!
kalo udah kayak gini.. katahuan deh orang kotanya, orang 21st century nya...
no electricity = bengong!
abis mau ngapain lagi.. gelap. heh.
ya wes.. mandi aja kali yah.. .. ..

Uuh... saw F4 Pepsi commercial!!! lucu.. dan..Mas Ken.. shuai lah. Poor Vanness..tee he he he
